Google's Guide to the App Galaxy aims to walk readers through the ins and outs of launching a mobile app-based business. 



According to the Google blog, "as you manoeuvre through the 'galaxy' ... you'll get the basics about app promotion, monetization and measurement - with tips from Google as well as successful developers."



The App Galaxy guide contains advice and best practices from developers around the world, so while it's no map to certain riches, it is a good starting point.
