Innovative recruitment service OneShift launches in NZ

FYI, this story is more than a year old

After helping redefine the way Australian employers source talent, 23-year-old entrepreneur Gen George, has today launched her recruitment service, OneShift in New Zealand.

OneShift, which is considered one of the shining lights of the Australian startup scene, is an online job-matching service taking the hassle out of recruitment and greatly reducing the cost.

With over 260,000 job seekers and 26,000 Australian businesses now using the service, OneShift has enjoyed remarkable growth and high praise from the Australian business community in the 19 months since it launched.

Unlike job-boards and traditional recruitment sites, businesses can post job ads for free. They then pay AUD$30 to review the suitable candidate profiles for a full week, with access to contact details and the ability to chat with them instantly.

To celebrate the New Zealand launch, OneShift will have an introductory offer giving NZ businesses the opportunity to source and contact jobseekers for free.

“Our intelligent, technology inspired business model is causing major headaches for traditional recruiters and job-boards who are failing to move with the times," says Gen George, MD, OneShift.

“OneShift operates a far superior recruitment model to help quickly match employees with employers. It makes finding a suitable candidate much easier, and more affordable, so New Zealand businesses can say goodbye to the overpriced and ineffective traditional recruitment model.”

With jobs ranging from hospitality shifts over busy periods, to animal care and legal services, with OneShift, businesses and job seekers are able to cut out the middleman and find the best matches, whatever their needs.

Job seekers simply create a free profile, complete with availability, skills, qualifications and location, which can be viewed by potential employers online.

“Looking for any kind of employment has traditionally been a stressful, lengthy and frustrating process," George says.

"By uploading profiles, resumes and contact details all in the one place, our users save significant time, effort and money."
