Wellington company finalist in the global Tabby Awards

08 Oct 2014

Wellington's Showcase Workshop is a finalist for the Tabby Awards/Business 2014, a global competition for the best Android, iOS and Windows apps worldwide for work and productivity.

Showcase Workshop is the only New Zealand app to make it through to finalists in this year's awards, where they're up against US company Seismic Software, in the Windows marketing and sales category.

Finalists were chosen by an international panel of 20 independent judges, chaired by Billion Dollar Apps author Alex Bratton.

Previous winners in the awards, now in its third year, include apps from the likes of Autodesk, Brainshark, Citrix, Kaon Interactive, Microstrategy, Philips, Revel Systems and SAP.

The self titled Showcase Workshop app enables marketers or comms manager to create branded apps in the cloud 'in minutes', loaded with videos, documents and brochures.

The company says it has 'customers all over the world' using the app to create training, sales presentiations, store operations or health and safety apps.

This year's Tabby business awards see more than 70 apps making finalist status across 26 categories, with iOS apps dominating the field.

The apps will now compete in the final round of the Tabby Awards/Business 2014 competition, with winners announced later this year.
