Westcon Group NZ’s Imagine 2014 Best Practice Series
Wed, 1st Oct 2014
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Registrations are now open to attend New Zealand’s leading information technology event – Westcon Group NZ’s Imagine 2014 Best Practice Series.

Celebrating a decade of success in the market, what started ten years ago as a small sales and technical roadshow has now evolved into the premier New Zealand technology event.

Featuring some of the latest best practice solutions IT has to offer, paired with some of the greatest and most skilled IT professionals both locally and globally, the spotlight on the 2014 Westcon Group NZ Best Practice Series, Imagine 2014 should not be missed by IT resellers, integrators and technology focused end users.

“Westcon Imagine provides an innovate event that is about technology, finding out what is new and what are the true areas of industry focus,” says Mark Baker, Sales and Marketing Director, Westcon Group NZ.

“It allows end users and resellers alike to gain valuable insight through the streams of business, technical and innovative seminars throughout the day.

“Invest a day and gain a year’s worth of insight in one easy to navigate event. It’s also a great opportunity to network with industry, peers, leaders and vendors as the format allows social interaction and conversation.”

Baker says resellers have the ability to cover Westcon’s key vendor technologies in one location, gaining insight into what’s new and innovative, while understanding industry trends along with developing and maintaining key relationships.

“Often today making time to gather valuable information and meet the right people who can help deliver the right solution is prohibitive,” he adds.

Yet Baker says Imagine brings all these elements together, saving a reseller partner or end user valuable time and effort.

“End users can expect an event where they can gather key technology insights, meet vendor sales and pre-sales contacts,” he adds. “The ability to talk through solutions and explore what might be the right fit for their requirements ahead.”

The programme will include business, technical and innovative workshops, presentations from industry leaders, panel discussions and practical hands on technical demonstrations from over 25 leading IT brands.

Cloud launch…

Westcon’s Cloud Service Reseller partners will also have the opportunity to meet John McCawley, founder and CEO of Verecloud, which is the first Value Added Distributor focused on the delivery of Cloud based IT applications and services and was recently acquired by the company.

Also in attendance is Dave Robbins, VP of Cloud Solutions at Westcon, who will discuss the company’s current plan of digital distribution in context of the Verecloud deal.

“Both John and Dave will be available to discuss our roadmap and look for New Zealand feedback from our Cloud Providers and Cloud Resellers as to what they are looking for from Westcon in the future,” Baker adds.

“We will also discuss our Cloud Catalogue and our Cloud Reseller Partners - with some real examples of how we have gone to market and how we can help our customers to fast-start a Cloud procurement and services business.”

During a jam-packed event, Baker says Westcon will also introduce its Cloud Service Providers to its customers and to End-Users, in the Cloud section of Imagine.
